Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate correlation analysis of muscle thickness, subacromial space, and shoulder instability after two weeks of muscle strength exercise in the rotator muscle.
Methods: A total of 20 test subjects participated in this experiment. Muscle strengthening exercises were carried out five sets a week for two weeks, a total of 50 sets, and exercise was carried out with full can, empty can exercise and external rotation exercises. Ultrasound was used to check the changes in muscle thickness and subacromial space of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles. CSMI was used to evaluate the muscle strength of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles.
Results: Significant differences were found in inner rotation when measured after 2 weeks of strength training. No significant difference was found in the external rotation. There was no significant difference in muscle thickness in supraspinatus and infraspinatus. Also, there was no significant difference in subacromial space.
Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it is applied that the empty can, the full can exercise, and the lateral external rotation exercise have a positive effect on strengthening the muscle strength of the inner rotation of the shoulder joint.
